George Russell ends the last day as fastest car but Carlos Sainz is fastest of the test.

George Russell has ended the third day with the fastest time (1:29.545) just before we head off to Melbourne for the season opener in 2 weeks.

The morning session on the last day saw Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc top the morning timesheets with a 1:30.811 which was 0.077 faster than rookie Kimi Antonelli in the Mercedes.

It was Lando Norris who went purple in Sector 1 and Kimi Antonelli who went purple in Sectors 2 and 3

The morning session, however, was red flagged for some period due to a bus on the track down at Turn 10. A great tour some would say…

The afternoon session was more eventful. World Champion Max Verstappen spinning at Turn 1 as he seems to struggle with the balance of the RB21.

Lance Stroll only completed 34 laps in the afternoon session after falling ill and his teammate Fernando Alonso, who was also ill, completed the rest of the session.

The stand out of the session would be Pierre Gasly, using the form he was in at the end of the 2024 season to push the limits of the Alpine car and go a whole 1.199 seconds faster than his teammate.

Day 3 final times are as follows:

  1. George Russell - 1:29.545
