The 1994 season was the first season in which Michael Schumacher won his first of a record seven drivers championships. Schumacher won the 1994 championship by 1 point after both him and Damon Hill crashed in the final race of the season in Adelaide, which was very controversial as it looked like Schumacher had crashed into Hill deliberately to win the championship
